MMPN celebrates Oloyede at 72, hails his contributions to Islam, Nigeria

The Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN) has congratulated the Secretary-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Emeritus Professor Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede, on his 72nd birthday, praising his contributions to Islamic affairs, education and national development.
The MMPN National President, Alhaji Abdur-Rahman Balogun, in a congratulatory message, copy of which was made available to newsmen on Saturday, described Oloyede as a renowned scholar whose years of service in academia, public administration and global Islamic affairs had left an indelible mark on the Muslim community within and outside the country.
According to him, Oloyede had continued to serve the Muslim community and the country through his wealth of knowledge, experience and dedication to duty.
Balogun commended the immediate past Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin for his commitment to education and his efforts to promote Islamic values and strengthen Muslim institutions.
The MMPN president said Prof. Oloyede's contributions go beyond the positions he had held, reflecting his commitment to education, religious affairs, mentorship and the welfare of the Muslim Ummah.
The MMPN president also recollect Oloyede's role in representing Muslim interests and engaging with issues affecting the community and the country at large, and urged younger Muslims, especially those interested in education, journalism and public service, to learn from Oloyede's dedication to scholarship and his years of selfless service to mankind
Balogun prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the celebrant good health, wisdom and more years of service to Islam, Nigeria and humanity.
"The MMPN wished the NSCIA Secretary-General a happy birthday, praying that Allah would continue to guide and strengthen him in his service to the Muslim community and the nation," he prayed.
