The Social Democratic Party (SDP) Presidential Candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has expressed deep sorrow and extended his heartfelt condolences to the Nigerian Armed Forces and the families of the victims following the tragic crash of a military aircraft in Ondo State.

In a statement issued on Monday by Comrade Mark Adebayo,
Head of Media and Communications,
Adebayo-Bugaje Presidential Campaign, copy of which was made available to newsmen, Prince Adebayo described the incident as a national tragedy and a monumental loss to the country, especially at a time when the military is relentlessly working to secure the nation.

The SDP standard bearer prayed for the repose of the souls of the gallant officers who lost their lives in the line of duty and urged God to grant their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Prince Adebayo emphasized that the nation owes an eternal debt of gratitude to the men and women of the Armed Forces who routinely put their lives on the line for national peace.

To this end, he called on the Federal Government to immediately institute a comprehensive insurance policy for all military personnel to ensure their families are robustly protected and taken care of in the event of any eventuality.

Furthermore, Adebayo urged military authorities and the government to prioritize the safety of personnel by ensuring that all military equipment and hardware receive the adequate, state-of-the-art servicing they strictly require to prevent future occurrences of such avoidable disasters.
