Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan ‘Ogogo’ dies at 66

Veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has died at the age of 66 after battling cancer.
A video circulating on social media captured his daughter, Kira Taiwo, in tears as she announced her father’s death, saying repeatedly, "My daddy is dead."
He died at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the age of 66.
Ogogo will be buried on Monday in his hometown, Ilaro, Ogundare State, according to a burial announcement shared by veteran actor, Jide Kosoko.
Before his death, the veteran actor reportedly received hundreds of offers of medical, spiritual and other forms of assistance from Nigerians, colleagues and well-wishers.
The actor also received support from Ogun State Governorship Aspirant, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Senator Yayi, who reportedly facilitated efforts to secure specialist medical attention for him.
Ogogo was a prominent figure in the Yoruba film industry and was widely recognised for his contributions to Nollywood over several decades.
