Oyo State Governor, Engnr. 'Seyi Makinde, has emerged as the Presidential Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the 2027 General Elections in the country following the conclusion of the party’s nomination process.
Governor Makinde's emergence is being viewed as a significant development in the political landscape as various political parties intensify preparations ahead of the next general elections.
Makinde was officially presented with his Certificate of Return by the National Chairman of the APM, Alhaji Yusuf Dantali, at a ceremony held in Ibadan and attended by party leaders, delegates, supporters and political associates.
The presentation formally confirmed the Governor Makinde as the party’s flagbearer for the 2027 presidential poll.
Speaking at the event, Dantali described Makinde as a leader with the experience, capacity and vision required to drive national development.
The APM chairman urged members across the country to rally behind the presidential candidate and intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the polls, expressing confidence that the party would provide Nigerians with a credible alternative in 2027.
