INEC suspends recognition of Mark, Aregbesola as ADC leaders until court case ends

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced its resolve to remove the names of Senator David Mark, National Chairman and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, National Secretary, from its official portal for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The electoral Umpire's decision was contained in an official statement issued on Wednesday by its National Commissioner, Mohammed Kudu Haruna (Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee).

According to the statement, The decision aims to comply with preservatory orders from the Court of Appeal in Appeal No. CA/ABJ/145/2026: Senator David Mark v Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe & Ors.
