Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has extended warm felicitations to Christians in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration, which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Governor Abiodun, in his Easter message, described the season as a profound reminder of sacrifice, love, redemption, and hope for humanity, noting that the resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolizes victory over adversity and offers renewed assurance of a better future for all.
The governor urged Christians to reflect on the core values of Easter, namely selflessness, humility, forgiveness, and compassion, and to emulate these virtues in their daily lives.
He emphasized that such values are essential for fostering peace, unity, and sustainable development in society.
Governor Abiodun also called on residents of Ogun State to use the festive period to pray for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of the state and the nation at large, just as he reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering good governance and improving the welfare of the people.
The governor, while wishing all Christians a joyful and peaceful Easter celebration, encouraged citizens to remain hopeful and steadfast, assuring them that better days lie ahead for Ogun State and Nigeria.
"Easter reminds us that after every trial comes triumph. Let us continue to work together in unity and faith for the collective good of our dear state," the governor said.
