The leading Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Aspirant for Lagos State in 2027 General Elections, Prince Laja Adeoye, has held a strategic meeting with the Forum of Lagos PDP Local Government Chairmen, representing all 20 Local Government Areas of the state, assuring them of his resolve to deliver good governance to the people of the tate and make the party proud if elected into office.
The forum is led by the Chairman of Chairmen, Mr Wasiu Aderounmu Adeyemi (Jagun), who is also Chairman of Shomolu LGA area of the state.
Adeoye gave this assurance during the parley, as he outlined his vision for a transformed Lagos, anchored on a clear agenda that prioritizes quality education with significant investments in infrastructure, vocational training, and digital learning to equip the youth for the future.
The PDP governorship expressed his resolve to offer accessible and quality healthcare to ensure every Lagosian receives affordable and efficient medical services, adding that his administration would ensure improved security through enhanced policing, community engagement, and technology driven solutions to make Lagos safer for residents and businesses.
Prince Adeoye also pledged to deliver a massive affordable housing revolution via public-private partnerships (PPP), innovative financing, and sustainable urban planning, saying that this would address the housing deficit, reduce slums, tackle recurring flooding, and protect homes and businesses.
On the economy, he promised to drive diversification and job creation by boosting entrepreneurship, developing tech hubs, supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), promoting tourism, expanding the ocean economy and agriculture, as well as establishing industrial clusters.
According to him, these initiatives aim to generate millions of sustainable jobs, reduce over-reliance on Federal Allocations, and improve the living standards of youth, women, and all residents.
This was as he listed other commitments to "include modernizing transportation systems (with expanded rail networks, improved BRT, and smart traffic management), promoting environmental sustainability and waste management, granting full autonomy to local governments, and implementing civil service reforms for greater efficiency and better welfare."
He assured that with this people centered approach, an era of inclusive prosperity, transparency, and transformative development for all Lagosians would be ushered, if elected as governor, come 2027.
Speaking earlier, the Forum of Lagos PDP Local Government Chairmen expressed profound gratitude to God for raising a young, vibrant, and highly competent aspirant like Prince Adeoye at a critical time when Lagosians were yearning for genuine change and better leadership.
The Forum passed a vote of confidence in Governor 'Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who is also the PDP leader in the South-West and Nigeria, commending his impressive developmental strides in Oyo State.
They expressed strong belief that similar people focused development, marked by transparency, accountability, and equitable growth, would be replicated across every local government and division in Lagos under a committed leader who serves the people wholeheartedly.
The chairmen also lauded the unwavering commitment and leadership of the former Deputy National Chairman of PDP, Chief Olabode George, who is also the Atona Oodua of Yoruba land, for his tireless efforts in strengthening the party in Lagos State.
The Forum reaffirmed its resolve to work tirelessly across every nook and cranny of Lagos to ensure the PDP emerges victorious in all elective positions in the 2027 General Elections, assuring party members that the PDP remained strong, united, and vibrant, and would field credible candidates capable of delivering landslide victories.
According to the Chairman of Chairmen, Mr. Wasiu Adeyemi, the Forum is fully committed to the emergence of Prince Adeoye as the PDP gubernatorial candidate, pledging to rally massive support from all local governments and help restore the confidence of Lagosians in the party.
The Forum chairman further commended the current PDP State Executive Committee, led by Dr. Amos Fawole, for providing stabilizing and purposeful leadership and promised continued support for the State Exco and closer collaboration with all party organs to secure a resounding victory in the forthcoming elections.
