The Federal Capital Territory Police Command said the command has arraigned eleven suspects linked to the murder of Ms. Somtochukwu Christella Maduagwu, an Anchor, Reporter, and Producer with ARISE News, and Mr. Barnabas Danlami, a security guard before the Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Jabi area of Abuja.
Maduagwu and Danlami were killed during a robbery incident at Unique Apartments, Katampe Extension, Mabushi, Abuja, on 29th September 2025.
This was made this known in a statement issued by Mrs. Josephine Adeh, a Superintendent of Police and the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), explained that the command arraigned eleven suspects before the Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Jabi area of Abuja.
According to the statement, the suspects arraigned before the court include: Shamsu Hassan, Sani Sirajo, Hassan Isah, Abubakar Alkamu, Abdulsalam Saleh, Suleiman Badamasi and Zaharadeen Mohammed.
Others are Musa Umar (aka “Small”), Mashkur Jamil, Suleiman Sani, and Abubakar Usman.
It disclosed that the suspects were arraigned on a 9- count charge, including criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, and murder, saying that the matter had been adjourned to February 2026 for further proceedings.
